Chinese aftermarket specialist AMECO has confirmed the completion of freighter conversions on five 757-200 aircraft at its facility in Chengdu.
The fifth aircraft conversion, completed at the end of 2015, is the third for Shenzen-based carrier SF Airlines, a subsidiary of SF Express.
Besides conversion services, AMECO's capabilities include overhaul services on the RB211 engine, as well as line maintenance and components services for 757-200 out of nine facilities across China.
In a statement, AMECO said: "In such a promising market, Chinese express companies are competing on delivery speed and service quality, which accelerate the purchase of their own aircraft for competitive edges, and the 757-200 converted freighter is one of their choices."
